Steve Brooker and Byron Webster have been released by Doncaster.

Striker Brooker, 29, has made only a limited number of appearances for Rovers during an injury-ravaged two-year spell with the club, while central defender Webster has failed to hold down a regular place in manager Sean O'Driscoll's starting line-up.

Brooker initially joined Doncaster on loan in November 2008 and despite sustaining an injury was handed a permanent deal the following January.

But the the former Port Vale and Bristol City forward suffered numerous ankle injury setbacks and failed to play at all during the 2009/10 campaign before making a total of 16 appearances this season.

Webster, 24, was handed a permanent deal at the Keepmoat Stadium following a trial in August 2009, while with Czech side FK SIAD Most.

The former Leeds trainee made seven appearances during the 2009/10 season and three this time round before going on loan to Hereford and then Northampton.
