Goals from Joleon Lescott and substitute Edin Dzeko saw Manchester City cement third place in the Barclays Premier League and automatic entry to the Champions League with a 2-0 victory over Bolton.

Lescott opened the scoring in the 43rd minute when he sent a looping header into the net following a corner from Adam Johnson.

City had the momentum and Dzeko added a second a minute after coming off the bench when he took advantage of a mistake by Bolton defender Gary Cahill.
