Karim Benzema's agent has denied holding talks with Arsenal over a possible summer move.
Arsene Wenger confirmed yesterday that the Gunners making a move for the French international is 'not impossible', and speculation was rife that negotiations have been taking place after representative Karim Djaziri flew to London last week.
However, Djaziri has been quick to deny that talks were taking place over a potential €25m move, with SkySPorts reporting that he was over on personal business rather than to meet Arsenal representatives.
"I went to London for personal business, not to discuss any transfer," said Djaziri.
"Karim Benzema has a contract with Real Madrid so let's wait and see. He loves Madrid and wants to play every time as he loves playing football."
Speaking to The Sun on Wednesday, Wenger sang the praises of the former Lyon forward and believed Benzema would be a world class addition at Arsenal.
"He’s a player that I like. He’s intelligent in his movement; he is capable of combining well with others and making a difference, and of doing individual moves as well. So, for me, he’s a player who’s at the top level in the world."
The Emirates outfit are thought to be in the market this summer, with the Arsenal boss keen to find a strike partner for Robin Van Persie amidst reports that Nicklas Bendtner will leave north London this summer.
