Hughes commits to Bees

Barnet midfielder Mark Hughes has signed a new one-year contract.

The 27-year-old Irishman has made 87 appearances for the Bees and impressed new boss Lawrie Sanchez with his displays towards the end of the season as Barnet beat the drop.

"I am happy to get it sorted," he said.

 

"Hopefully we will get a good start to the coming season and will avoid having to wait until the last day for our fate to be determined.

"I am confident, with what is going on at the moment, that we can avoid that pressure."
