Paul Buckle is expected to announce whether he will remain at Torquay in the next 48 hours after meeting with the club's board following their play-off defeat.

The Gulls were beaten 1-0 by Stevenage at Old Trafford and face another season in League Two. Buckle has been strongly linked with the vacancy at Bristol Rovers, but insists he has yet to come to a conclusion over his future.

"I need to take a couple of days to think about it," he explained.

"I've worked too hard to get where I am today and then make a rash decision.

"We've had these three massive games (in the play-offs) but we'll take stock now.

"Everyone will think about their future and we will make some decisions on Monday."
