Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has promised his side will look to compete in next season's Barclays Premier League with the same style of football which earned them promotion.

The Swans' passing philosophy has won them many admirers in recent seasons and Monday's 4-2 win over Reading in the npower Championship play-off final ensured Brendan Rodgers' side will play in the top flight from August.

Jenkins told Sky Sports News: "We'll continue on the same path, it's the reason we are where we are."

He added: "A few people doubted we could compete in the Championship but we've proved we could.

"That culminated in the win and we'll carry that forward.

"We've worked with three managers in three years and Brendan has given us that extra personality.

"He's brought in key players like Scott Sinclair, who've helped push us forward to win more games.

"We all became involved 10 years ago, we've been supporters since we were kids and we've worked hard and it's fantastic thing for the club and the city."
