Chelsea winger Florent Malouda has asked for a contract extension at Stamford Bridge.
The 30-year-old French international winger is contracted with the club until 2013, but has asked for additional security over his future and is keen to end his career in west London.
However, the club's policy of only offering one-year deals for players over the age of 30 means Malouda may have to wait for a new deal despite his commitment to the Blues' cause.
"I have asked to prolong (my stay) several times. I have had two meetings with the chairman," Malouda told France Football.
"But the club's policy is to sign players beyond the age of 30 one year after another. That is my situation. I would like to have a contract until 2014, with the World Cup an objective in my mind.
"I would like it to be clear for everyone. I am aiming to end my career at Chelsea."
