Barcelona on the cards for £23m Chelsea target

Brazilian hero Robinho has warned Neymar to consider an offer from Barcelona as well as Chelsea, after a chief scout watched the star play, according to the Daily Mail.

“I think both players are ready to leave Brazil because they are at a different level," said the AC Milan forward of Neymar and fellow Brazilian sensation Paulo Henrique Ganso.

“They have impressive quality. It's about joining the right team, one which respects the qualities of the player.

“With Neymar and Ganso's characteristics, I think they would do well in Spain and Italy. Imagine Neymar playing for Barcelona, with Lionel Messi and David Villa. My God!

"To keep improving, they will have to choose well, because they might have to change the way they play."

Neymar has long been a concrete target for Chelsea, and while Carlo Ancelotti insisted the Blues were not interested in the starlet, now that Ancelotti has been exited Stamford Bridge, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly put Neymar at the top of his transfer wish list.

But after a chief scout for Barca went to watch Neymar play in February in the South American Under 20 Championship, and again when Neymar played for domestic team Sao Paulo in May, Chelsea may be up for a battle with the Spanish giants for the youngster, with his £23 million asking price possibly shooting up.
