Arsene Wenger is close to completing a deal for 15-year-old Swedish starlet Kristoffer Olsson, according to reports.
The IFK Norrkopping midfielder has enjoyed a number of successful trials with Arsenal, notably spending time at the Emirates in February, and the Gunners now appear to be moving towards a permanent deal for the player.
"Sure, it's good money for the club. We would prefer that our players stay in Norrkopping and grow to be first-team players. But, in this case, Kristoffer wants a move and we will make that happen," said club sporting director Tony Martinsson.
"[A contract] could take days, it could take weeks. It could take longer. We will keep this to ourselves until it's done."
The player's agent claimed in April that Arsenal were looking to complete a deal for the player, and a successful appearance for the club's junior side in Italy appears to have sealed the deal.
"Arsenal really want this to go through — that’s 100 per cent certain," said Per Jonsson at the time.
An educational fee will be paid by the north London outfit, according to SkySports, although it's not mentioned how much Arsenal will have to pay for the Sweden U16 international.
