Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic says he can't believe the success he's already had in his career.

The Serb joined Chelsea in 2008 but it took him eight months to make his first appearance –
but he’s since made a huge impact at the heart of the Blues' defence.

And the 27-year-old admits that when first joining the club, he was keen to make an
impression. He certainly did last season when he was named by his fellow pros in the PFA
Team of the Year.

'The situation is different for us when we arrive without a big name, but the aim is the same for all the players. We all give everything for the team and try to win every game - it doesn't matter where you come from or who you were when you arrived here, you have the same aim as every other player,' he said.

"If you come here and already have a name, you have to show that you deserve this reputation. The aim is actually the same - you have to deserve to be on the pitch.

"Three points is still three points no matter who you are. Chelsea win or lose based on how well we play - everyone here knows this.

"Here we have a fantastic squad, but we all give everything for the team. we all come here by a different way, but we want the same things as a team."
