Bolton boss Owen Coyle will do everything in his power to ensure prolific loan striker Daniel Sturridge returns to the Reebok Stadium next season.
The 21-year-old Chelsea starlet capped a wonderful period with the Trotters, scoring an impressive eight goals in 12 appearances – an impressive return for a player who has spent an extensive period on the fringes at Stamford Bridge.
Sturridge has hinted that he wants to return to Chelsea and fight for a starting berth along with the likes of Fernando Torres, Didier Drogba, Florent Malouda and Salomon Kalou.
But Coyle has other ideas, and says: "We will try and get him back here for next season. It's a win-win situation - for the player, the parent club and for us.
"I feel with Daniel that another period at Bolton will take him on to the next level and then he will be a starter for Chelsea.
"Like all our loan players, we give them a platform and belief they can play in the best league in the world," he continued. "Daniel set the place alight during his time here - and we'd love him back to help with his development next season."
