Stevenage chairman Phil Wallace is refusing to rule out the possibility of a third successive promotion for the club.

Stevenage got promoted to League One via the play-offs last season, a year after being crowned champions of the Blue Square Bet Premier.

And Wallace has called on the fans to back Boro to bid for a third successive promotion. He told BBC Three Counties Radio: "If we can get our gates up to 7,000 we've really got a chance of pushing on for the Championship."

He added: "That might seem to be ridiculous to some but it's how our mindset will be.

"We'll be after one of the top six places and we'll be doing everything we can.

"You need people coming through the gates, they'll never see this opportunity again."
