Manchester United will sign Aston Villa winger Ashley Young for £20 million this week, according to the Daily Mail.
The England international has made his intentions clears that he wishes to play in the Champions League and Villa have reluctantly allowed Young to leave.
And with United plotting some heavy spending this summer, Young is expected to be the first recruit.
Despite having Ji-Sung Park, Antonio Valencia, Luis Nani and Ryan Giggs in their ranks, United are keen to add another winger to their ranks.
Sir Alex Ferguson is perhaps looking at the 25-year-old Young as a long-term replacement for Welshman Giggs, who is expected to retire at the end of next season.
With United expected to sign three players this summer, including Athletico Madrid goalkeeper David De Gea, the signing of Young is expected to be the first of many heading to Old Trafford in the coming months.
