Shakhtar and Arsenal are ‘ready to do business’ over the sale of Willian, with Denilson on offer as part of a player-plus-cash deal, according to The Sun.
Willian has long been a target for Arsenal, though Wenger was hopeful of getting the Brazilian for less than the Ukranian club’s asking price of £13 million.
Now a deal looks set to be agreed to for £4 million, along with Arsenal midfielder Denilson in an exchange, with Denilson making his intentions to leave the London club very clear.
"This has been the worst season of my life and I am so upset, so frustrated,’ The Arsenal man recently said.
‘I am a winner and I came here to win trophies but I've been here for five years and won nothing.
‘A footballer's career is over very quickly so it is time for me to move on.”
Willian has been a target for Liverpool and Chelsea, with the 22-year-old revealing he wanted to head to a Barclays Premier League club.
But with Arsenal able to offer Denilson, a deal looks set to be decided between the two clubs for Willian’s departure.
