Liverpool have been dealt a blow in their race to land Barcelona's Bojan Krkic, after the forward revealed talks between the La Liga champions and Udinese have begun, report the Mirror.
The Spanish international has also been linked with Arsenal as well as a move to Seri A.
But Bojan's agent says talks have begun between the Catalans and Udinese, with Liverpool still interested.
"For the time being there is nothing official," said Bojan's agent Zoran Vekic to asromanews.it.
"I know that Barcelona and Udinese are in talks but I don't know the exact details, if it is money or an exchange.
"With regards to Roma, I have been a friend of Luis Enrique for the past 20 years.
"But in the past few days we have never spoken about Bojan so I believe this is just rumours."
As well as Bojan, Liverpool have also been linked with Jeffern Suarez, but the Nou Camp, like his teammate, appears likely to stay put.
After confirming the signing of Jordan Henderson, Liverpool are preparing a substantial spending spree this summer, with Charlie Adam and Connor Wickham both heavily linked with a move to Anfield.
