Highly rated Sochaux winger Ryad Boudebouz has emerged as a summer transfer target for Liverpool according to reports in France.
The 21-year-old starlet has impressed with a series of scintillating performances in Ligue 1 this season, and has now played himself into contention for a lucrative Barclays Premier League move.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is known to be in the market for wide midfield additions, and after seemingly missing out on top wing target Ashley Young, the Reds are now said to be considering other options.
Boudebouz is well known by Liverpool director of football Damien Comolli, who tracked the exciting winger during his time in France, and will reportedly step up the club's pursuit to bring him to Anfield this summer.
Regarded as a precocious young talent, Boudebouz had previously stated he was undistracted by reported Liverpool interest, and was in fact happy in France until the recent departure of former Sochaux manager Francis Gillot.
In an interview with French newspaper L'Equipe he commented, "I am disgusted. He is a coach who could build a young group. He knew how to talk to the young players.
"I hope everyone will remain at the club next term, otherwise we will lose matches and I don't want to experience that."
After scoring eight goals this term to help Sochaux finish fifth in Ligue 1 and qualify for next season's Europa League, Boudebouz has also excelled on the international stage with Algeria.
His future has now been cast into doubt after admitting that if an attractive offer was presented to him, he would consider a move.
"I feel fine at Sochaux but if I have good opportunities, we will think about them," he concluded.
