Schalke midfielder Jermaine Jones has indicated he would be interested in a permanent move to Blackburn, having spent a spell on loan at Ewood Park last season
The USA international made 15 appearances for Rovers after joining the club in January, and is now hoping to link up with Steve Kean and Co. next season.
"It was a good time for me at Blackburn. Now I need to look at what happens," Jones told The Sun.
"My team in Germany have told me to come back but my agent knows what I want.
"I've been talking with Steve Kean and he needs to talk to the owner."
Elsewhere, Blackburn are reportedly chasing Auxerre defender Cedric Hengbart in order to accommodate for the loss of Manchester United-bound Phil Jones.
According to skysports.com, the 30-year-old is on the radar of the Lancashire club, although they will also have to fight of interest from Stoke City and Queen's Park Rangers for his signature.
"I have contacts in England," Hengbart said in the Daily Star.
"Stoke and Blackburn are the most serious ones and there's also QPR to a slightly less degree.
