Tyson makes Rams switch

Published Add your comment

Derby have won the race to sign former Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson.

Tyson has signed a three-year deal with the Rams after deciding to leave arch-rivals Forest at the end of his contract.

The 29-year-old told the Rams' official website: "This is a very impressive football club and I couldn't be more excited about joining.

"It's the most important move of my career and I feel this is the opportunity I need to show people what I'm all about and what I can do.

"I had plenty of options, including staying where I was, but Derby County is a club with big ambitions and I want to be part of it."

Tyson is Derby's fifth summer signing, with Frank Fielding, Jamie Ward, Theo Robinson and Craig Bryson having already been recruited by Nigel Clough.
