Chelsea and Manchester City are ready to pounce on David Villa if Barcelona decide to sell the forward, according to the Metro.
The Spanish striker scored in the Champions League final for Barcelona over Manchester United in a side that has been labeled the best ever club side by many onlookers.
But with Barcelona perhaps tempted to bring in new names, Chelsea and City are potential suitors if the Catalan's agree to sell up.
Villa has scored 18 goals for the club since his £35 million move from Valencia last summer, but with Pep Guardiola only having £40 million to spend this summer, he may have to sell if he wants to improve on his star-studded squad.
While City may be looking for a replacement for Carlos Tevez, Chelsea may be tempted with a move that would link up Fernando Torres and Villa, a partnership that helped delver the European Championships and World Cup.
Furthermore, both Chelsea and City are two of the only clubs in Europe, bar Barca's rivals Real Madrid, who could afford the fee for Villa.
