Chelsea and City on alert as Eto'o drops hint

Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o has put Chelsea and Manchester City on alert by claiming he may move to the Premier League this summer.

The Cameroon striker has won the Champions League three-times as a player, including in 2010 with his current side Inter.

And following speculation that Chelsea and City were interested in Eto'o, the forward has revealed he fancies the challenge of the Premier League.

 

"I am currently considering my options. I have one month to decide as to whether I want to stay put or choose to move to the Premier League," he said.

"I am now 30-years-old and it is very important for me to think about my future before I sign what could be my last contract. I have already shown that I have what it takes to play in Italy and I now have the idea of proving myself in England."

The former Barcelona hitman saw his Inter side finish second in Serie A this season and Chelsea and City, the two clubs able to afford Eto'o would present a new challenge for the 30-year-old.

Chelsea and City would looking at a fee in excess of £30 million to land the Africa striker.
