McLeish starts Villa tenure with Fulham trip

Alex McLeish will begin his tenure as Aston Villa manager with a trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham on the opening weekend of the 2011/12 Barclays Premier League season.

The Scot's first game at Villa Park comes against Blackburn Rovers, while his first midlands derby as Villa boss, something he became used to at Birmingham City, comes against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Villa face West Bromwich Albion on October 22nd, and then face a tough Christmas period with the visit of Liverpool, Arsenal and then a trips to Stoke City and Chelsea in a two week spell.

The club's return trip to Wolves comes in late January while they face West Brom for a second time in the third to late game of the season.
