Liverpool are preparing to confirm their second summer signing of the summer with Sylvain Marveaux ready to join on a free transfer from Rennes, according to the The Sun.
The Frenchman is said to favour the left-side of midfield, and could fill the void left by Maxi and Milan Jovanovic, who are both expected to leave the club this summer.
The 25-year-old has yet to make a full international appearance but Liverpool are ready to sign the free agent.
Marveaux rejected a new deal at Rennes and has decided a contract with Liverpool, worth a reported £60,000 a week.
Liverpool are also expected to announce the signing of Charlie Adam next week as their midfield options continue to grow.
