MK Dons defender Mathias Doumbe has agreed a new two-year deal, keeping him at the club until 2013.

The Frenchman, 31, played 51 times last season as the Dons reached the League One play-off semi-finals. Since joining from Plymouth two years ago he has made 90 appearances, playing at either right-back or centre-half, and has scored five goals.

Doumbe told the club's official website: "What we did last year was really good but we have to do better this year."

He added: "The most important year since I've been here was last year because of the way we were performing, everybody was playing with confidence and I think we can build on that."
