Jay Bothroyd’s agent has revealed that the Cardiff striker is still undecided on where his future lies, leaving Newcastle, Celtic and Everton to sweat on the star's decision.
“Jay has just come back from holiday. It’s an exciting time for him because he has spent three years turning his life around,” Sky Andrew told talkSPORT.
“He’s in a good position, he’s a Bosman [free transfer]. There’s been quite a lot of interest and now he is back I’m actually just going to sit down with him and try and decide what is the best route to go down.”
Newcastle and Everton have both been connected to the striker this season, with Newcastle in particular reportedly looking at trying to snatch the star who netted 20 goals for Cardiff this season and almost took the side to automatic promotion.
But Everton shouldn’t be discounted from the race just yet, with David Moyes reportedly hoping that Bothroyd can be as good as Jermaine Beckford.
Celtic have also been connected to the star, though Bothroyd is reportedly favouring a stay in England, putting Newcastle and Everton at the top of the pile.
