Reports are speculating that Chelsea will move to block any attempts by Tottenham to buy Didier Drogba, if the incoming manager feels the African star doesn’t fit into the Blues’ formation.

Chelsea have long been dealing with speculation that Drogba will be departing the club in the summer, with Fernando Torres taking away game time from the star striker.

Tottenham have made their intentions clear to buy Drogba should the Chelsea man become available, but the Daily Mail claims that Roman Abramovich is mindful of selling a player who could challenge his side in both the domestic and European leagues next season.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has said he wants to purchase Drobga, and with possible incoming Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas looking set to bring striker Radamal Falcao with him to Stamford Bridge, Drogba would be a perfect fit for a move from Chelsea to Tottenham.

Malaga, Galatasaray and AC Milan are also said to be interested in taking Drogba on, and Chelsea are reportedly much happier with this prospect than a move within London to rivals Tottenham.
