Jonas Gutierrez looks set to exit Newcastle in the summer, after the club decided to listen to offers for the winger, according to The Journal.
Gutierrez had formed a close bond with fellow Newcastle men Jose Enrique and Fabrizio Coloccini, but all three have been linked with moves away. Enrique hasn't signed a new contract, despite being offered one, and Alan Pardew recently admitted the left back is looking for a move that will involve Champions League football.
Coloccini has been linked with Seville in a £7 million move, and should Gutierrez leave the club as well, the 'three amigos' look to be no more at Newcastle.
Newcastle are reportedly desperate to cut costs and create a younger side that has a long term goal of challenging in Europe. At 27-years-old, Mike Ashley feels that Gutierrez is better leaving and garnering the northern club some extra transfer cash for the summer.
Gutierrez marks yet another big name to be told he can exit Newcastle to make way for younger talent, along with Kevin Nolan, who has now departed to West Ham, Joey Barton and Alan Smith.
Particularly with the arrival of winger Sylvian Marveaux, Gutierrez is said to be on the out at the Toon.
