Manager Jim Bentley is confident of bolstering his Morecambe squad with two unnamed attacking players this week.

The Shrimps are in negotiations with a midfielder and a versatile forward who can play on the wing or through the middle.

"The feedback I have had has been extremely promising," Bentley told the club's official website.

"I have met both players at the Globe Arena and shown them around. They were both really impressed by the set-up and what we are trying to achieve here and have indicated they want to sign for us.

"Hopefully we can get the deals done as soon as possible and the lads can report with the rest of the team when pre-season training starts next week."

Morecambe have already signed winger Kevin Ellison from Rotherham and full-back Izak Reid from Macclesfield this summer.
