Leeds have confirmed the capture of goalkeeper Paul Rachubka on a two-year deal following his release by Blackpool.

The 30-year-old's arrival comes after United's decision to accept a seven-figure offer for Kasper Schmeichel from Leicester on Monday, something which took the Dane by surprise as he prepares to begin talks with the Foxes.

Rachubka is reunited with Leeds boss Simon Grayson, who took him to Bloomfield Road in the summer of 2007.

Grayson told Leeds' official website: "This was a deal we had put in place last week and I`m delighted to conclude it, I look forward to working with him again.

"I worked with Paul at Blackpool, I have known him for a few years and know all about him.

"He's a good, experienced goalkeeper to bring in to challenge within the squad."
