Former Liverpool midfielder Terry McDermott believes Jordan Henderson has what it takes to be a legend at Anfield.
The 21-year-old signed from Sunderland earlier this month and is tipped for the top after some superb showings during his break-through season in the Premier League.
And McDermott, who knows all about the struggles of making an impact on Merseyside, says Henderson has the required qualities to make it big.
“I think he’s a very astute signing,” he said. “It’s clear to me that he’s a good player. He’s very energetic and can function in more than one position.
“That versatility is a great asset. It gives the manager options if he has players who can slot in to different positions.
“It’s great for Jordan too because it gives him more chance of playing. When everyone is fit, Kenny will have a lot of options in midfield and that’s got to be a good thing.”
