Liverpool's pursuit of Charlie Adam will resume this weekend as the Merseysiders plan a bid of £10 million for the Scot, according to the Blackpool Gazzette.
The 25-year-old is in the final year of his deal at Bloomfield Road following a season where he burst on the scene in the Premier League, scoring 12 goals as Blackpool narrowly missed out on survival.
And after a bid for Adam was rebuffed during the january transfer window, Damien Comolli is prepared to start negotiating to get Liverpool their man.
The Scottish international came close to joining Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool in january, but terms couldn't be agreed.
Now, with Manchester United having dropped their interest, Liverpool lead the race for Adam and are ready to match Blackpool's £10 million valuation.
