Liverpool are in pole position to snare Jeffren Suarez from Barcelona after it emerged the Spaniard has rejected a move to Udinese, according to talksSPORT.
The 23-year-old was reportedly part of the deal that would bring Alexis Sanchez to the Nou Camp this summer.
However, it appears the move has broken down, leaving Suarez in limbo, but his father, Efren, says a move to England could be on the cards, with Liverpool reportedly leading the way.
"Playing in Italy is not a good option for Jeffren. He has more attractive offers from Spain and England," he said.
Kenny Dalglish is reportedly interested in bringing Suarez to Anfield, after the player failed to make a key contribution to Barcelona's double success last season.
Dalglish is keen to breath new life into his Liverpool squad, despite dragging the club from mid-table to within touching distance of the Europa League.
Roy Hodgson oversaw Liverpool's worst start in Premier League history, before Dalglish's took over in January.
