Reported Arsenal transfer target Gervinho is eager to complete a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer, but so far no bid has been forthcoming.
The 24-year-old Ivorian international has long been linked with the Gunners, as Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his attacking options.
After turning in a series of scintillating performances to help Lille to the Ligue 1 title last season, club president Michel Seydoux confirmed that no formal offer had been received.
"I have spoken with Gervinho and he wants to play for Arsenal next season," Seydoux told RMC. "This is clear, but now we must get an agreement between the two clubs.
"We have maintained contact but still the Londoners have not presented us with a formal offer," he continued.
"Negotiations are ongoing but Gervinho has demanded a solution to the situation soon."
Reports in The Sun over the weekend suggest that Lille are holding out for £12million for the forward, but Arsenal are only willing to go as high as £10.5milion.
