Bradford manager Peter Jackson has warned his players that this year's pre-season training will be tougher than ever.

Jackson's side have already begun their preparations for the new season, making them one of the first clubs in the country to do so.

"Pre-season is going to be extremely tough for the players - they know that," Jackson told the club's official website.

He added: "If the players don't want to buy it, that's fine, but they'll be on their way back out that door.

"I don't think we were fit enough last season, but you can't really do too much fitness when you have so many games.

"So the time to work is pre-season. It'll be bang - straight into it, they'll be working extremely hard."
