Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain are set to go head-to-head over €80 million rated Lucas, according to Futnet.

The 18-year-old midfielder, who makes up part of Brazil's Copa America squad this summer, is one of the country's top prospects.

And both PSG and United, who are searching for a replacement for Paul Scholes, are keen on the player despite his inflated fee.

Sir Alex Ferguson, having already spent close to £50 million on Phil Jones, Ashley Young and incoming goalkeeper David De Gea, is expected to buy one more player this summer to help replace Scholes and Ryan Giggs, who is expected to leave United after this coming season.

United are also keen on Luka Modric and Wesley Sneijder, but competition from Chelsea and Manchester City over both signings could mean their attention turns to Brazil's newest rising star.
