Manchester City have reportedly tabled a bid for Partizan Belgrade starlet Stefan Savic.
The Serbian defender has been linked with AC Milan, Sporting Lisbon, Roma and Porto in recent weeks, but Serbian sources now claim that the Citizens have made the first move for the player.
Partizan are thought to be holding out for €10 million for the player, according to SkySports, meaning negotiations will be needed with Roberto Mancini's side after an opening approach of €7 million.
"Savic is still here with us, so he has signed nothing yet," Partizan's sporting director Mladen Krstajic told Blic.
The player himself has admitted that it would be difficult to leave his homeland, although recognises it's a possibility despite not knowing any specific information.
"If the time comes for me to leave Partizan, it would be difficult - but that is our life in sport. But for now I have no transfer information," said the 20-year-old.
Savic has previously enjoyed a trial with Arsenal, and work permit issues could delay a move to Eastlands should City continue to pursue their interest.
