Port Vale have signed Ben Williamson and Ryan Burge on free transfers.
Striker Williamson was offered a new contract by Bournemouth, but the offer of regular first-team football has seen him opt to sign a one-year deal at Vale Park.
Meanwhile, Burge has signed a two-year contract after leaving Doncaster. The midfielder had a loan spell in League Two with Oxford last season.
Boss Micky Adams was happy to make his first signings since returning to the club and told the club's official website: "Both Ryan and Ben are two young players with a lot of potential and we believe the pair can have a big impact on the squad this season.
"Ryan is a creative central midfielder and will bring plenty of quality on the ball, but he is also a very hard-working individual.
"Ben is a quick striker who I have been tracking for a while and I believe is a player who can develop with us. We are delighted that he has agreed to join us, especially as he has turned down a deal at Bournemouth to come to Vale Park."
