Roberto Mancini is confident both Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli will stay at the club this summer as he looks to strengthen his Champions League-bound squad.
The Italian has seen a number of his star names linked with moves away from Eastlands during the close season, but expects two of his star turns to stay and help City push on.
Mancini is looking to build on last season’s fourth place finish – and FA Cup success – and make a serious title challenge, both domestically and in Europe.
The City boss, who is keen to bolster not weaken his attack, says: “Tevez is a good player and I think he will remain at City. I have three strikers, we need another one," he said.
"Balotelli to AC Milan? For now, certainly not. In the future you never know,” added Mancini who appears to have his heart set on Serie A duo Alessio Cerci and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
"Cerci? We have several goals, we are sure to be interested in good and young players. I like Lavezzi a lot, but I don't think he is worth the 30million euros of his clause."
