Everton will face Werder Bremen in their penultimate pre-season fixture before the start of the new season.

The Toffees will travel to Weserstadion on August 2nd before hosting La Liga side Villarreal at Goodison Park.

The match is a repeat of the friendly the two sides contested in 2007 where James McFadden and Anderson Da Silva struck during an entertaining 2-2 draw.

The game comes three days after David Moyes' side visits Birmingham City on July 30th, following their US tour, where they face Philadelphia Union on July 20th and DC United on July 23rd.

They open their pre-season program against Bury on July 15th, while an Everton XI faces Oxford United on July 29th.
