Eden Hazard is planning on staying with Lille, according to coach Rudi Garcia, despite reports linking the star with a move to Arsenal or Paris Saint-Germain.
"I am not sure he wants to leave. He knows his status here and at a large club there is much more uncertainty,” Garcia told French newspaper L’Equipe.
"He will also play in the Champions League here.
"[President] Michel Seydoux has said he is non-transferable and that is the right approach. I would not understand selling one of our best players to PSG."
Hazard had been connected with a move to Arsenal on many occasions over the last season, and with PSG now backed by the Qatar Investment Authority, the French outfit was set to put in a lucrative bid for the star.
But with Garcia insisting that Hazard will indeed stay put at Lille, Arsenal look set to turn their attentions to signing teammate Gervinho, who Garcia admits he was surprised about.
"Economically it is complicated," Garcia said on the Arsenal deal for Gervinho.
"You cannot keep a player who is out of contract in a year."
