Chairman Karl Oyston hopes Blackpool can make some signings before Monday.
The Seasiders are preparing for life in the npower Championship after suffering the heartache of being relegated on the final day last season.
"I certainly hope we can do some business before the lads come back for training on Monday," he told the Blackpool Gazette.
"You know how the transfer market is and how it works, though, it's hard to predict.
"We spent Friday locked in my office going through the lists of players, targets and needs for the season.
"We trawled through the list of enquiries we've made in regards to targets. We hope to see some progress on the ones we've inquired about and are still interested in."
Ian Holloway's troops are set to return for pre-season training on Monday, by which time Oyston hopes to see some new faces at Bloomfield Road.
