Tottenham have increased their efforts to sign Barcelona striker Bojan Krkic, but are likely to face competition from Liverpool in their pursuit of the Spaniard.
According to the Daily Mail, Barca are demanding a fee of £14 million for the 20-year-old, with Spurs and Liverpool both monitoring his situation.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp reportedly flew out to the under-21 European Championships last month in order to run the rule over Bojan, who made an appearance from the bench against England.
However, Redknapp was said to have been sufficiently impressed, and will allegedly now press forward with an attempt to bring Bojan to White Hart Lane.
Liverpool have supposedly been tracking the Spain international for a number of months, but it would now appear Spurs are ready to steal a march on their Barclays Premier League rivals.
It was initially reported by by Spanish publication Sport that Liverpool were considering a move for Bojan, while Marca has since claimed the Reds are 'confident' of bringing him to Anfield.
However, Liverpool will have to make their move for the starlet sooner rather than later, with Spurs preparing to finalise their interest.
