Rosler pivotal in Douglas move to Brentford

Brentford new boy Jonathan Douglas admitted the chance to work under Uwe Rosler was too good to turn down.

Midfielder Douglas, 29, turned down a new contract at Swindon to link up with Bees boss and former Manchester City striker Rosler.

"I spoke to the manager a few days ago and he was very positive," said Douglas.

"He came across very well and has good plans for the club - it was something I was excited about.

"I spoke to him for about 10 minutes and I knew it was the right thing to do.

"I spoke to a couple of other clubs but no-one gave me the belief that the manager here did."
