Monaco star Park Chu-Young wants to move to Liverpool next season, and the striker ‘won’t go anywhere else’, according to Talksport.
Park reportedly has a £6 million price tag over his head, and with Liverpool readying an Asia tour this month, and sponsors Standard Charter pushing for the club to sign more Asian players, Park would be the perfect candidate to make the move to Merseyside.
“We would love the club to have players of nationalities from the markets in which we operate. Look what Park [Ji-Sung] has done for [Manchester] United in terms of coverage in Korea,” Standard Chartered group head of corporate affairs Gavin Law recently said.
"Liverpool are more aware than most other clubs we've spoken to of the commercial opportunity for them. If they can sell a million shirts with another Mr Park on the back, why wouldn't you?"
And it would seem that Park may indeed be on the back of Liverpool shirts next season, with the 25-year-old looking to make a move to Merseyside.
