Carlos Tevez has declared he wants to leave Manchester City in order to be closer to his family, who live in Argentina.

But City are determined that Tevez will only leave if their £50m valuation of the player is met, potentially preventing any deal.

City will pursue Sergio Aguero if a suitable amount is offered for Tevez, who has scored 53 goals in 86 appearances for the club.

Gael Clichy completed his transfer to Manchester City earlier in the week, declaring that with City, ‘anything is possible’.

Now reports claim that City are closing in on Samir Nasri, whose future remains unresolved after he rejected a new contract at Arsenal.

With Cesc Fabregas also potentially leaving the club for Barcelona, Wenger is targeting Eden Hazard, Juan Mata Aly Cissoko.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has reiterated that Luka Modric and Gareth Bale will not leave White Hart Lane this summer.

Modric and Bale have been linked to Europe’s top clubs. Redknapp also revealed he is still hoping to sign Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi.

Manchester United have joined Manchester City and Chelsea in the race for Palermo midfielder and Argentine international Javier Pastore.

Wigan have completed the signing of Bolton goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi for £4m. Al Habsi has vowed to perform even better than last season.

Arsenal and Liverpool will both try to sign Newcastle’s Jose Enrique. The Gunners want a replacement for left back Gael Clichy.

Darren Pratley spoke of his delight after joining Bolton Wanderers this week. He joins Owen Coyle’s team from Swansea on a free transfer.

Stoke City, Celtic, Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers are all interested in signing Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy on loan.
