Tottenham Hotspur are refusing to give up hope on signing Leandro Damiao those summer, according to Goal.com.
The Brazilian striker looks set to sign a new deal with his club Internacional but Spurs are still confident of securing a deal reportedly worth £12 million.
Tottenham sources are suggesting that a deal is 'not impossible' for the 21-year-old.
The club are also refusing to rule out waiting until January to sign the hot prospect.
The player's agent, Vinicius Prates, revealed earlier in the week that the forward was on the brink of signing a contract extension, a deal that could mean his asking price rises to £20 million, a fee Tottenham would be reluctant to match.
Chairman Daniel Levy was reportedly expecting to secure a deal for Damiao, but was surprised with the players' wage demands.
With Robbie Keane and Roman Pavlyuchenko both expected to leave the club this summer, Tottenham will be keen to add to their attacking options.
