Tottenham will have to splash out a club record fee if they hope to land Espanyol striker Pablo Osvaldo this summer, it has been claimed.
According to talkSPORT, the Barcelona club want at least £20 million for the 25-year-old, who scored 13 times in 24 La Liga appearances last season.
Spurs have been consistently linked with the former Fiorentina centre-forward over the past few months as Harry Redknapp attempts to bring a goalscorer of proven quality to White Hart Lane.
However, the Spurs boss has been told he must sell before he sees any substantial investment this summer, with the likes of Robbie Keane and Roman Pavlyuchenko tipped to leave the club.
Should Redknapp manage to streamline his squad, he will use the funds to add another striker to his ranks, with Villarreall's Giuseppe Rossi a particular favourite of the former Portsmouth manager.
Spurs had an offer rebuffed for the Italy international during the transfer window, and Redknapp has urged chairman Daniel Levy to make another bid for the 24-year-old.
Along with Rossi and Osvaldo, Chelsea hotshot Didier Drogba and Ateltico Madrid star Diego Forlan have also been linked with moves to White Hart Lane.
