Thiago Motta’s agent has said that the midfielder will most likely stay at Inter Milan, despite growing interest from Arsenal, according to FourFourTwo.

"I believe his future is at Inter,” Alessandro Canovi said.

"He wants to stay here, he still has two years left in his contract and has never requested to leave. Until stated otherwise, he will remain at Inter."

Arsenal were connected to Motta on a number of occasions last season, and Arsene Wenger has reportedly stepped up his pursuit of the star as the club look set to lose Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.

But despite interest from Arsenal, Canovi says that with a new manager coming into Inter, Motta believes he will get more game time for the Italian outfit.

"[Gian Piero] Gasperini has arrived and he is a fan of Motta, with whom he has done always well."

Arsenal have been linked with numerous midfield targets, including Scott Parker, Yannn M’Vila, Eden Hazard and Juan Mata, and now Wenger must decide if he’s willing to put a bid forward that will turn Motta’s head, or move on to other midfield targets as he rebuilds the squad.
