Wycombe manager Gary Waddock has signed a new three-year contract to remain at Adams Park until 2014.

Waddock, 49, arrived at the club in October 2009 following Peter Taylor`s departure but he was unable to prevent relegation to League Two. Yet he guided the Blues back to League One last season at the first attempt and clinched automatic promotion with a club-record 80 points.

He told Wanderers' official website: "The future looks extremely bright and encouraging and I'm delighted to commit my future to the club."

He added: "It's been a home to me since day one - a lot of hard work has been done and all we want to do is build on those foundations to take the club forward.

"Steve (Hayes, owner) has got a vision and a plan for this football club and everything is in place to achieve further success."

Hayes added: "For me, this is one of the most important signings the club has made in a long time and I am hugely delighted that Gary has pledged his future to Wycombe Wanderers."
