Nottingham Forest manager Steve McClaren has expressed his frustration at a lack of signings over the summer transfer window.
Andy Reid has been the sole arrival of the close season at the City Ground while nine players have exited the club, including loan stars Kris Boyd and Paul Konchesky.
McClaren told the club's official website: "We need to get players in and get them in as soon as possible to make sure we make a better start than we have done in the last two seasons, which have been disappointing for many reasons.
"It's important we improve the squad, it's important that we get the numbers in and it's important that we get the right quality and right players.
"Everyone is ferreting around and working so hard to bring players in, but we've just got to keep going and realise the urgency of the situation that we need players."
