Robins get green light for Birchall

Swindon have had a significant undisclosed bid accepted for Dover striker Adam Birchall, the non-league club have confirmed.

The 26-year-old marksman has a remarkable scoring record for the Blue Square Bet South outfit but is keen to test himself in the Football League.

Dover have revealed the fee will be paid up front once personal terms have been agreed, something which is expected to be finalised over the next couple of days.

Birchall scored a total of 45 goals in 49 appearances for Dover last season, including 11 in the FA Cup.
